IDFusion Recognized for Diversity - January 29th, 2010

In a study of creative sectors in 11 North American cities, Winnipeg got high marks including No. 1 for the number of "bohemians" and No. 2 for "super creative" workers.  The study, paid for the by the Information Communication Technology Association of Manitoba (ICTAM), shows that Winnipeg's tolerant and diverse work force has proven to be foster talented people. IDFusion Software is identified by ICTAM as a good example of a Manitoba IT firm that has embraced the use of a diversified workforce as a key driver of innovation.  IDFusion president and CEO Christian Dandeneau said that of the 16 full-time workers, 12 were either Metis or members of a visible minority.  "We really look for people who are not from a mainstream culture and can bring a different perspective on things."  This approach has contributed to the success of IDFusion. 

Creating Employment for Aboriginal IT Workers - April 13th, 2007

Protegra announces the formation of a partnership with Manitoba Keewatinowi Okimakanak (MKO). This partnership has come together to form FireSpirit, a First Nation-owned company that aims to facilitate jobs, training and business opportunities in Northern Manitoba. Together with Protegra, IDfusion Software is working to realize the first major initiative of FireSpirit, the development of a Job Referral Services System. Providing Employment Services to Manitoba's North - April 13th, 2007

FireSpirit, a newly formed Aboriginal company, announces its vision to faciliate jobs, training and business oppurtunities for Aboriginals and northern communities in Manitoba. The company was formed as a partnership between Manitoba Keewatinowi Okimakanak (MKO) and Protegra. In it's first major initiative, FireSpirit will develop a Job Referral System for the Province of Manitoba with IDfusion Software excited to be a part of the development effort.

IDfusion considered a role model for the future - November 1st, 2006

This article in the Winnipeg Sun discusses recent efforts by the province of Manitoba and the Information and Communications Technology Association of Manitoba (ICTAM) to help find opportunities for aboriginal youth in the IT industry. IDfusion Software, with a 45% aboriginal staff, is cited as being a role model for the future. Company president Christian Dandeneau is quoted as saying, “We want to draw more business from outside Manitoba to Manitoba, it's key to our industry's growth."
