IDFusion Recognized for Diversity January 29th, 2010
In a study of creative sectors in 11 North American cities, Winnipeg got high marks including No. 1 for the number of "bohemians" and No. 2 for "super creative" workers.
The study, paid for the by the Information Communication Technology Association of Manitoba (ICTAM), shows that Winnipeg's tolerant and diverse work force has proven to be foster talented people.
IDFusion Software is identified by ICTAM as a good example of a Manitoba IT firm that has embraced the use of a diversified workforce as a key driver of innovation. IDFusion president and CEO Christian Dandeneau said that of the 16 full-time workers, 12 were either Metis or members of a visible minority. "We really look for people who are not from a mainstream culture and can bring a different perspective on things." This approach has contributed to the success of IDFusion. |
